I"ve seen TV shows where people who weighed 600 pounds got slim and fit. I've heard stories of alcoholics recovered, stories of desire, pain, progress, setbacks, successes; longings and fulfillment, consciousness and contentment, honesty and acceptance.

I'm 67 years old and I uploaded a photo to my blog. Can I get an "attaboy"

  Sometimes my Grandma would say .. "Well, you know how difficult it is to make both ends meet; to keep body and soul together."
   Grandpa, neighbors, friends, family would nod and agree that they did in fact know.

         I on the other hand had no idea. I didn't even know what a soul was. I was taught to pray

 Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray thee Lord my soul to keep.
 If I should die before I wake, I pray thee Lord, my soul to take.

     I think Grandma prayed for my awakening.
 

Bubbles

I was thinking about bubbles rising in the water. The bubble pressure is about the same everywhere within it but the pressure of the water at the bottom of the bubble is higher than at the top because the water is deeper. So the bubble gets pushed upward and a bit warped in the process.

My Story

    M. Dubeau bought a violin in Port Arthur in the thirties. He packed it in his canoe and made the trip back to the bushcamp. In a month he had learned to play a few songs. A man who played well came by and showed M. Dubeau how to tune the fiddle. M. Dubeau could no longer play the tunes. He was discouraged and quit for a while. He went back to it though and learned again.
